Vis Viva is being developed in collaboration with the Municipality of Hrvace in the wider area of the Peruća storage reservoir. The site was chosen based on the following criteria:
Strong interest and support of the local community for the implementation of developmental projects in a region where no significant investment was made for many years
Compliance with the Split-Dalmatia County Developmental Strategy – planned construction of significant renewable energy capacity in the wider area
Proximity of the accumulation lake, water needed for cooling combined-cycle cogeneration natural gas power plant
Benefits of the location for construction of Vrdovo Pumped-storage hydropower plant
Relatively small distance from the main pipeline in Dugopolje
Relatively small distance from Konjsko TS – the largest network transmission facility in Dalmatia
